Infrared Sauna
Infrared Sauna - Burn Calories, Detoxify, and Sooth Sore Muscles!
What are the Benefits of the Infrared Sauna?
Our infrared saunas use heat technology that raises the body’s core temperature. Near, mid and far-infrared waves are a safe form of light therapy that deeply penetrates (up to 3 inches) into the muscular tissue and ligaments. Because this type of heat goes deeper into tissue, it results in increased blood flow. Increasing circulation allows your body to remove waste and deliver fresh oxygen and nutrients to help your body to heal itself naturally.
This type of sauna is dry, so rest assured you will be able to breathe easily and comfortably during your session. There is no steam or moisture like in a traditional sauna. It takes approximately 15 minutes to heat your body to the point of increasing your core temperature. At this point you will notice your heart rate increasing as you begin to sweat and pump more blood.
How do I prepare for my session?
Sessions are 20, 30, or 40 minutes in length and the longer you stay in the more calories you'll burn! You can burn up to 600 calories in a single session, but most people start at 20 minutes and work their way up. We recommend using the sauna 3 times per week for the best results.
It is very important that you hydrate properly because you will lose a lot of water during your session. Remember to to bring a 32oz bottle of water with you to replenish. While sweat for the average person contains a small amount of expelled toxins, one of the most important ways to detoxify and lose weight is to drink plenty of water!
After your sauna session, you can pop over for a tan to produce some vitamin D and finish your visit in one of our Automated Massage services. Another perfect spa visit will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and renewed!
